Cardi B Freaks Out When Daughter Kulture Says Mama
Major milestone! Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, said the word that the rapper has been waiting for — “Mama!” — and she documented the sweet moment in a Monday, February 11, Instagram video.
The “I Like it” singer, 26, was celebrating her Grammys win at home with her baby girl when her sister, Hennessy Carolina, asked Kulture to say, “Mama.” The 7-month-old’s face was hidden behind an emoji in the footage, but her voice could be heard loud and clear.
The moment Kulture spoke, Cardi screamed, “Oh, my God!” and turned the camera around. The Bronx native was still sporting her Grammys hair and makeup, and she looked emotional as she covered her mouth with her hand.
“After a week of only saying papa ! She saying mama!” the former reality star captioned the footage. “Happy 7 months Kulture ! We love you.”
That wasn’t the only major moment Cardi celebrated that night. Not only did the rapper perform “Money” at the Grammys, but she made history by becoming the first solo female artist to win Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy.

Her formerly estranged husband, Offset, joined her on stage when she accepted the award. Although the two split in December 2018, they attended the event together and even licked each other on the red carpet.
Cardi thanked the Migos rapper, 27, in her acceptance speech, gushing, “Husband, thank you. Nah, seriously, he was like, ‘You want to do this album, girl. You going to have this baby and we going to make this album.’”
The new mom also thanked her daughter. “I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter, it’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete,” she told the audience. “We was like, ‘We have to get this album done,’ so I could still do [music] videos while I’m still not showing. And it was very long nights.”
