Channing Tatum Confronts His Fear of Porcelain Dolls on Ellen Show

Publish date: 2024-05-16

Channing Tatum may have played brave action heroes in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and White House Down, and had the guts to strip down to his skivvies for Magic Mike, but the hunky actor still has some secret, very weird phobias.

Tatum, 34, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Sept. 10, and was forced to confront one of his biggest fears. After admitting that he would be afraid to sing in a movie and refusing to take Ellen DeGeneres‘ microphone to perform, the actor was faced with another phobia.

“In real life, I’m terrified of porcelain dolls,” Tatum admitted. “There was a TV show, it was Friday the 13th, there was a possessed porcelain doll.”

His hesitance toward the toys can’t be entirely blamed on the show, however. “I just think they’re freaky,” the Jupiter Ascending star continued. “They’re really super freaky. They have like, real eyes, and they look real, and they just… I just imagine when I walk by them, their heads turn with you the whole time.”

As DeGeneres, 56, listened to Tatum with a knowing look on her face, he worried, “Tell me you do not have a doll here.”

Unfortunately for the former male model, DeGeneres had just that. Watch what happens when the talk show host makes Tatum face his fear of porcelain dolls in the video above!
