Born in Sudbury, Massachusetts on June 13, 1981, actor Chris Evans first gained mainstream attention with the 2001 comedy Not Another Teen Movie. The actor soon scored several more leading roles, including parts in The Perfect Score and Cellular.

Evans’ career began to heat up when he was cast as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in 2005’s Fantastic Four (opposite Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis). He returned for a sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, in 2007.

He found more success playing nother Marvel superhero. He portrayed Steve Rodgers/Captain America in several films starting with 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and concluding with 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Evans’ other film credits include Push, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Gifted, Snowpiercer and Knives Out. He made his directorial debut in 2014 with Before We Go.
