About

Fischer is an American chef who is married to Amy Schumer.

Born in Chilmark, Massachusetts, and raised on Beetlebung Farm in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, which his grandfather purchased in the ‘50s, Fischer quickly developed a love of all things food.

At the age of 25, Fischer went to Manhattan, New York, where he nabbed a gig as a grill cook at Mario Batali’s Babbo. He worked there for three years.

Fischer then moved on to stints at Rome’s American Academy and London’s St. John Bread and Wine and The River Café.

Following his overseas travels, the culinary expert took the helm at several restaurants in his hometown of Martha’s Vineyard, including Beach Plum Restaurant, and later, the Covington.

Fischer released his cookbook, The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook, in 2015. It went on to win a James Beard award in 2016.

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed that Fischer was dating Amy Schumer in November 2017. (Fischer’s sister, Molly, is Schumer’s assistant.) The couple wed in Malibu just months later on February 13, 2018.

In March, the comedian revealed that Fischer is on the autism spectrum.

Fischer and Schumer welcomed their first child, son Gene Attell Fischer, on May 5, 2019.
