Danica McKellar Talks "Magical" Wedding, Husband Scott Sveslosky
The stars were aligned for Danica McKellar‘s sunrise wedding to Scott Sveslosky in Kauai. The Wonder Years alum, 39, was actually running a few minutes late for her meticulously timed walk down the aisle on Nov. 15, but thanks to a little maneuvering from Mother Nature, her tardiness turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
“We were trying to time it so that the sun would come up as I was walking down the aisle. And then of course there were delays when we were getting ready,” she explained in the press room at the 2014 American Music Awards, where she was a presenter.
“I was really concerned, but it turns out there was a layer of clouds right at the top of the mountains, so it also delayed the sun,” she continued. “And as I was walking down the aisle, the sun came up. It was magical. It was absolutely amazing.”
Her first in-person meeting with her lawyer love was similarly charmed. Asked when she knew Sveslosky was “The One,” the former child star said she had a feeling about him the second she laid eyes on him.

“I had been divorced for two years when I met him. And I was just starting to date, and I was being set up,” the mom to 4-year-old Draco began. “And I was like, ‘I don’t know about this.'” She changed her mind, though, when she “saw him sitting there at the table.”
“I knew. I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is the person I’ve been dreaming about my whole life,'” she gushed of her new husband, noting that by then they had talked on the phone a few times. “I knew he was a gentle soul, amazing — he was just all there. I could just feel his energy and I was blown away.”
The attraction was mutual. “I knew I loved him almost instantly, and we were saying ‘I love you’ on the fourth date,” she recalled. “Sometimes when you know, you know.”
