Elisabetta Canalis Welcomes Baby Girl Skyler Eva With Husband: Photos
Congratulazioni! Elisabetta Canalis and her husband, orthopedic surgeon Brian Perri, welcomed a baby girl into the world on Tuesday, Sept. 29 — just over a year after the happy couple exchanged vows in Sardinia, Italy.
“Skyler Eva Perri was born at Cedars Sinai at 3:43 a.m. 9/29/2015 [at] 6 lbs. 12.3 oz. and 19.5 inches long,” a rep for the actress tells Us Weekly. “Elisabetta and Skyler are both healthy and Elisabetta is tango felici (very excited)!”
The Italian model, 37, shared the news with her fans via Instagram in the form of two adorable snapshots. The first shows her baby daughter’s face just barely peeking out from under a zebra-print blanket, with Perri kissing her on the forehead.
“My life is full of love because of you,” she captioned the shot in both English and Italian. “Welcome into the world our lil Skyler Eva.”
The second snapshot, shared on Wednesday, Sept. 30, features a close-up of little Skyler’s chubby cheeks and lips, and with a tiny hand gripping onto the blanket she’s wrapped up in.
“Thanks guys for sending me so much love during these past months,” Canalis captioned the photo, adding, “Skyler day #1.”
The news of a healthy baby girl is especially poignant for the new parents in light of the sad news Canalis shared with fans last year. In June 2014, the Dancing With the Stars Season 13 contestant told fans that she had experienced a devastating miscarriage; the couple had been expecting their first child together in the fall.
“Unfortunately, life gives you… a reality that you do not expect,” she wrote on her WhoSay account at the time. “That is very hard to accept, even if you think you are strong enough and prepared.”

Canalis, who dated George Clooney from 2010 to 2011, added that having Perri by her side was helping her get through the tough time.
“I know I’m lucky because I have a special man next to me that I wish all to have,” she continued. “The future is full of surprises and happiness and there’s a lot of hope, I keep on believing in it.”
