Genevieve Cortese Pregnant, Expecting Third Child With Jared Padalecki

Fatherhood looks good on him! Jared Padalecki and his wife, Genevieve Cortese, are expecting their third child together. The Supernatural actor, 34, announced the news during an appearance on Live with Kelly on Monday, November 7. Watch his exciting announcement in the clip above!

“Father of two, about to be father of three in March,” he revealed, while the actress, 35, showed off her growing baby bump off camera.

The couple, who reside in Austin, Texas, met on the set of Padalecki’s CW drama when Cortese had a recurring role in season 4 in 2008. They tied the knot two years later and are already parents of sons Thomas, 4, and Shepherd, 2.

“It was really special and unexpected,” the Gilmore Girls alum gushed of how they crossed paths. “The story I tell amongst my friends is that she wouldn’t leave me alone. So finally I was like, ‘Fine, I’ll go on a date with you.'”

But the truth is that he did all the bugging. Padalecki admitted that he would interrupt her while she read and ask her out to lunch.

“I thought she was cute and smart and she would always read books,” he told host Kelly Ripa. “It turned into hanging out, talking about traveling, and [then] turned into dinner.”

Padalecki’s Supernatural costar Jensen Ackles is growing his family too. Back in August, Us Weekly confirmed that he and his wife, One Tree Hill alum Danneel Harris Ackles, are expecting twins later this year. The boy and girl will join big sister Justice, 3.
