Jeff Goldblums Kids Charlie, 3, and 15-Month-Old River Arent Allowed to Play on iPads

Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston’s kids don’t take tablets to restaurants. In fact, Charlie, 3, and 15-month-old River aren’t even allowed to use the devices at home.

“Every day I’m amazed at how brilliant and creative they are,” Livingston, 35, told Us Weekly at The Wife premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, July 23. “We don’t do cell phones or iPads, so they’re pretty immersed in nature. They create their own little world.”’

The former Olympic rhythmic gymnast continued to share insight into life at home with Goldblum, 65, and their two boys. “Yesterday, Charlie wanted to help clean because I was cleaning the kitchen,” she gushed to Us. “And he cleaned his whole play space. He did an amazing job. He’s only 3.”

Goldblum, who was standing by his wife’s side, chimed in: “He’s 27.”

Both Livingston and Goldblum attend RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) classes with their sons. One RIE philosophy is that children do not need to be treated like children, so no baby talk! “They teach us a lot, and it’s really reassuring,” Livingston told Us. “It just helps build your confidence, because nobody gets a course in parenting.”

Back in March, the Jurassic Park actor opened up to Us Weekly about becoming a father for the first time at age 62. “I feel right on schedule and I love our two boys,” he revealed. “Everyone seemed to happen perfectly. I appreciate it wildly.” But he joked that comedian Albert Brooks advised him “to look for schools with ramps.”
