Jennifer Lawrence Wears Skintight Blue Bodysuit on X-Men Set
Jennifer Lawrence morphed into Mystique when she filmed new scenes for X-Men: Days of Future Past in Montreal May 31. Unlike in 2011's X-Men: First Class, the 22-year-old actress is no longer being covered in head-to-toe blue body paint in order to play the villainous mutant.
"I'm so excited because I'm going to wear a body suit," the Oscar winner told E! News earlier this year. "It will be from neck down, so it will cut out time and the blisters."
The original Mystique costume required six makeup artists, who covered Lawrence's body with scales before applying latex and airbrushing everything blue. The entire process took about seven hours.

"There's no CG for me," Lawrence joked in a DVD extra from X-Men: First Class. "It's the same technology and the same techniques they were using for Rebecca Romijn, the original Mystique several years ago."
Director Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past is slated for a July 18, 2014 release. It also stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Lawrence's ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Evan Peters and Peter Dinklage.
