Jill Duggar Welcomes Baby Boy Israel David With Derick Dillard
One and counting!
Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard have welcomed their first child together. The couple welcomed baby boy Israel David on Monday, April 6.
The couple announced the news on the official Duggar family Facebook page. "We are so thankful for a healthy Mom and baby!" the statement read. "Love this sweet baby Israel! We are happy grandparents and we promise more pictures soon!"
Duggar's sister Jessa also sent her best wishes. "Congrats to my sister @jillmdillard, and brother-in-law, @derickdillard, on the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Israel David Dillard!" she wrote via Instagram. "Born last night at 11:49pm! 9lbs 10oz & 23in. long!"
Last week, Dillard blogged that Duggar was in labor, but it turned out to just be Braxton Hicks contractions. On Saturday, he teased that they might have an "Easter baby."
The 19 Kids and Counting star, 23, and Dillard, 26, tied the knot in June 2014, and announced just two months later that they were expecting a baby. The couple, who only kissed for the first time at their wedding, always had a desire to become parents.

"Both of us want as many kids as God will give us. My parents have kept popping them out so we'll see how [our] fertility is!" Duggar told ABC of her parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in April 2014. "We'll just see what God brings along and it's exciting." (Michelle and Jim Bob's strict dating rules is why Duggar and Dillard didn't kiss or hold hands before saying "I do.")
"We were super excited. We prayed together, and thanked God for this new little life," Duggar exclusively told Us after finding out she was pregnant. (She took three pregnancy tests!) "I was screaming and everything. [Derick] was like, 'Don't get too excited! You might stress out the baby or something.' He's so cute. He's so sweet."
While preparing for their little one, Duggar was the guest of honor at a baby shower in February. Some items on her registry included pacifiers, diapers, and wipes. The pair also asked for unique gifts such as orange Gatorade, and gift cards to Subway and Olive Garden.
