Kathryn Edwards to Faye Resnick: You Capitalized on Nicole Brown Simpson's Death

Another dinner party, another brawl. On the Tuesday, January 26, episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, newest addition Kathryn Edwards finally came face-to-face with Faye Resnick at Kyle Richards‘ dinner party, and accused her of “capitalizing” on Nicole Brown Simpson’s death back in the ’90s.

“Faye alleged that my ex-husband, Marcus Allen, had an affair with Nicole Simpson,” Kathryn, 51, recalled of her first marriage to the NFL player. “It was nobody’s f–king business.”

Resnick, 58, was close friends with O.J. Simpson‘s ex-wife Nicole, and penned a book in 1994 after Nicole and Ron Goldman were found brutally murdered. In the book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted, Resnick portrayed Edwards as the type of wife who would overlook an affair. O.J.’s supposed discovery of that affair is what reportedly drove him to allegedly murder his wife. The two ladies never knew each other, and that claim still bothers Edwards two decades later.

“Faye put herself in the situation right after Nicole was murdered,” Edwards complained on RHOBH. “And she wrote a book about it, she posed for Playboy — I’m sure she loved the limelight.”

In the book, Resnick claimed that Allen expressed interest in her first before he pursued his alleged affair with Nicole. At the time, Resnick supposedly dialed her close pal Kris Jenner — whose ex-husband Robert Kardashian would eventually represent Simpson during the murder case — for advice. “Kris said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t go out with Marcus Allen,'” Resnick recalled of their supposed conversation. “‘He’s the biggest womanizer in the world, and don’t forget he’s engaged to Kathryn. She turns a blind eye to his fooling around, but it hurts her when he does it publicly.'”

Though Edwards finally had the opportunity to confront Resnick during the party, it wasn’t exactly a cathartic experience. “I’ve never met you before, and I feel like I’m being phony if I just sit here,” Edwards told Resnick, who stared at her from across the table with a blank expression.

“You never met me, you didn’t know me. I’m so not that [person in your book],” Edwards continued. “I’m in-your-face confrontational.”

Resnick, who continued to remain in uncomfortable silence, finally replied: “I have nothing to say to anyone about what happened twentysomething years ago. … There’s not really much to discuss, is there?”
