Khloe Kardashian Learns of Lamar Odom's Overdose in 'KUWTK'

Publish date: 2024-05-26

Family comes together in a crisis. The Kardashian family can be seen rallying round a shell-shocked Khloe Kardashian in the new trailer released Monday, January 25, for the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which shows the moment the reality stars discovered Lamar Odom had been hospitalized.

In the emotional moments after Khloe’s shock discovery of her ex’s serious health crisis, the 31-year-old reality star appears completely stunned as the camera pans in on her pale, expressionless face.

The clip of the episode, which will air in full on Sunday, January 31, shows a glimpse of the aftermath of the phone call nobody had wanted: Odom had been found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after overdosing on drugs, and doctors were giving him just hours to live.

“Khloe has been spending every second with Lamar,” her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, says in the trailer, while her mom, Kris Jenner, can be heard off camera, telling her daughter, “I think hearing our voices and having family around might make a difference.”

As it turns out, Odom has made a remarkable recovery, and while he still has a long way to go, the former NBA player not only defied doctors’ expectations, but is gradually regaining his ability to walk and talk, having been discharged from hospital.

“He’s doing really good,” Khloe told Ellen DeGeneres during a clip that aired on Monday. “His long-term memory is great. His short-term memory isn’t so good, but I mean, if I met someone earlier today, I probably wouldn’t remember either, so that’s understandable!” she said.
