Kylie Jenner Shaved Her Head for Her Birthday: See the New Hairstyle

Shaved hair, don’t care!

In addition to a pre-birthday party thrown by rapper Tyga on Aug. 9, Kylie Jenner rang in her 17th year with a daring new haircut.

“I shaved the back of my head for my birthday,” she said on the blue carpet at the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 10 in L.A. “I was just doing my hair today, and I was like, ‘Should I trim it a little?’ And I was like, ‘Why don’t I just shave the back of my head?’ So I just did it.”

While she left her new buzz cut covered by her shoulder-length bob on the red carpet, Jenner showed it off on Instagram on Aug. 11.

“So this happened yesterday,” she captioned the pic of herself holding her hair up so her freshly shorn locks were visible.

Jenner, no stranger to edgy styles a la blue tips or bleached hair, even earned the approval of older sister Kim Kardashian. “I did that haircut when I was 12 years old,” the mom, 33, to North West said on the red carpet. “I said the cool thing to do was to shave the whole underneath of your hair and then you put your hair in a ponytail and they say the shaved look.”

Kardashian even said she had considered trying the look again. “I might do it,” she said. “I should.”
