Publish date: 2024-06-07

Lisa Robin Kelly has died at the age of 43. The '70s Show star died in her sleep at a rehab facility in California on Wednesday, Aug. 14, her agent confirms to Us Weekly.

"Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," the statement said. "I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle. Cause of death has not been issued yet and no death certificate has been issued either."

Kelly — who played Laurie Foreman on the FOX comedy series from 1998 to 2003 — has endured legal trouble over the past few years. In June 2013, the actress was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was also sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation in North Carolina in November 2010 after pleading guilty to drunken driving in August 2010.

Kelly filed for divorce from her husband, Robert Gilliam, in July 2013. The two were married in October 2012, but the union was apparently a volatile one. In November 2012, Kelly and Gilliam were both arrested after police responded to a disturbance report.
