Move over, braids and topknots, there’s a new go-to hairstyle to add to your skill set.

Meet the half bun, aka the “hun,” which has been sweeping the trendiest heads of Hollywood, including Hilary DuffJennifer LopezKate Mara, and Margot Robbie.

Then, there’s, of course, Kate Middleton and Anne Hathaway, who have also tried out the lady’s take on the man bun

“Messy hairdos are having a moment, and this look in particular is easily the go-to hairstyle of summer,” Suave celebrity hairstylist Marcus Francis, who has worked with Julianna Margulies, Kerry Washington, and Gwyneth Paltrow, tells Us Weekly. “I prefer the slightly undone version, which you can easily recreate with a great sea-salt spray and hair pins.”

Separate a top section of hair about two inches above the ears and loosely secure at the crown with a clear elastic tie.

Twist the ponytail and wrap it around itself into a bun and pin into place. Gently tug around the chignon for volume and a slightly undone finish.
