Suzanne Somers Dedicates Three's Company Dance to John Ritter on DWTS
They’ll always have Chrissy and Jack! Suzanne Somers threw back to the late ’70s for her “emotional journey” performance on Dancing With the Stars on Monday, April 6. The actress (with Chrissy pigtails!) dedicated her foxtrot to her late Three’s Company costar John Ritter.
Somers fondly looked back at her time with Ritter during her pre-taped package, and gushed that their on-screen chemistry is something that only happens once in a lifetime. “This one’s for you John,” she tearfully said. “It’s the dance that Chrissy and John never got to have.”
The 68-year-old and her partner Tony Dovolani recreated the Three’s Company set, right down to the living room door, couch, and wall decorations. Somers reprised her goofy character while Dovolani did his best Jack impression.
After the show, Somers posted an Instagram photo of her and Ritter. “A legendary comedian and even dearer friend,” she wrote. “I love you, John. “

Somers and Ritter starred alongside Joyce DeWitt (aka Janet) in the TV comedy, which aired from 1977 to 1984. (Somers left in 1982.) The actress famously feuded with her costars after leaving the show over a salary dispute. In February 2011, Somers revealed on The Talk that she and Ritter did resolve their issues before he tragically died of an aortic dissection in 2003. In 2012, Somers and DeWitt made peace when she appeared on Somers’ online show Breaking Through.
